Milestones

April 14, 2005 ~ 3 months (13 weeks 4 days) Karaline actually rolled from her back to her left onto her side then to her stomach.  She did it then half a dozen more times over the next 3 days and has not done it since.

April 18, 2005 ~ 3 months (14 weeks 1 day) Started to suck her thumb mainly while on her stomach, but has started to do it even more now no matter how she is sitting or laying.  She also "talks" and smiles all the time.  The has started laughing and I have to laugh at her when she does it because it is still new.  She is also very good at imitating noises I make when I play with her!  She has been taking a bottle every night at bedtime.  She has also started sleeping through the night.  Bedtime is between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm (just like Catherine) and she'll wake up at anywhere between 5:30 am and 6:30 am.

May 12, 2005 ~ 4 months (17 weeks 4 days) Karaline is rolling now!  I'll put her on her back on the floor and then look back at her and she is on her tummy!  She is quite talkative and has started to stick her tongue out a lot.  She babbles and gurgles away most of the day.  She is still sleeping through the night and getting a bottle at night time.  Makes it nice for mommy when she wants to go some place in the evening!  She is still very alert and aware of everything around her.  The only thing she is not fond of is being buckled into her carseat!!  She does not mind being in it, but buckle her in and she'll tell you she does not like it!!

June 20, 2005 ~ 5 months (23 weeks 1 day)  Have been waking up to find Kara on her stomach.  Come to find out that she is also falling asleep that way.  She is laughing a lot now.  She has started solids (at about 4 months).  She has eaten rice cereal, oatmeal cereal, carrots, and green beans.  Next on that list is peas.  She is still sleeping through the night.  She likes to be on her tummy most of the time and you can see that she is getting close to crawling.  She can roll onto her back from her stomach, but enjoys her stomach until she gets tired of lifting herself up with no where to go.  Then she is just too frustrated to flip over!  She is teething and we know that by the small fever the other day, drooling, gnawing and the crankiness.  She is also very squeaky, talking away!
